-
Not all conditions require surgery. Many ENT problems can be managed with medical treatment. If surgery is recommended, everything will be clearly explained so you can make an informed decision.
-
Yes, we care for both adults and children. We understand that children may feel anxious and aim to create a calm, supportive environment for families.
-
Fees vary depending on the type of consultation or treatment. Medicare rebates are available for eligible services. Our reception team can provide fee estimates prior to your appointment.
-
Private health insurance is generally required for procedures performed in private hospitals. We recommend checking your level of cover with your insurer.
-
Due to high demand and Dr de Alwis’ public hospital commitments, we are not always able to offer appointments to patients without appropriate referral pathways or private health cover.
This policy helps ensure timely access to care for patients requiring surgery. If this applies to you, our team will do their best to guide you toward appropriate alternative services.
-
If surgery is recommended:
The procedure will be clearly explained
Risks and benefits will be discussed
Our team will assist with hospital bookings
Costs will be outlined in advance
-
