About Dr Grenness
Dr Alasdair Grenness is a dual trained Ear, Nose and Throat Surgeon and Audiologist who is passionate about providing excellent ENT care and hearing outcomes for both paediatric and adult patients.
Having completed a Master of Clinical Audiology through the University of Melbourne in 2007 he subsequently took a position at the University of Melbourne School of Audiology as both a clinical and academic audiologist.
Inspired by his time spent with the Ear, Nose and Throat Surgeons at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital as an Audiologist he subsequently returned to university to complete a post graduate Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery through Deakin University in 2014.
After spending three years working at the Royal Melbourne Hospital as a junior doctor including time spent as a general surgery and trauma registrar he was admitted to the Ear, Nose and Throat Training program in 2020. After gaining broad experience across the Victorian health system he successfully completed his training in February of 2025 with admission as a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons.
He enjoys managing all aspects of Ear, Nose and Throat conditions in both paediatric and adult patients but has a unique perspective on the management of ear condition given his background as an audiologist and a surgeon.
